1 Cup Basmati Rice
2 Cups water
4 Green Cardamom Pods (crush in pestel and mortar)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 whole cloves
2 bay leaves

Wash the rice at least 4 times to remove the starch, drain off all the water
In a large pan (wider the better), heat 1tbsp of oil
Add the spices and mix for 15 seconds
Add the water, cover the pan, and heat until the water is boiling
Add the rice and partially cover, cook on a medium heat for 5 mins
If all the water hasn't evaporated turn down the heat to low and partially cover for 5 more minutes
Remove from the heat, cover the pan and leave for 5 minutes
Lightly fluff the rice and serve
