Gingerbread

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Plain Flour

  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate Soda

  • 2 tsp Ground Ginger

  • 4 oz Margarine

  • 6 oz Light Muscovado Sugar

  • 4 tbsp Golden Syrup

  • 1 Egg (beaten)

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, bi-carb and ginger in a bowl, rub the margarine in with your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs

  2. Stir in the sugar, add the syrup & egg, mix together to form a smooth dough

  3. Roll out, cut, divide into small balls on a greased baking sheet cooking for approx. 10 minute @ 180°F
